2008 is turning out to be a year of clarification. There is WhiteFlag; Palestinian/Israeli world fusion band. We finished the international version of the C.D," TALK", to be released in Europe, hopefully in the autumn of 2009 and preparing for concerts in the end of 2008 and into 2009. I call the evening Gani Times, and touch on Jazz, Blues, originals and something else I love to do; comedy.Together with Mark Smulian I am beginning rehearsals on a new project… A World Jazz/EthnoFunk band (somebody somewhere will categorize the music) that is just great fun and creatively demanding.About me and Myspace…I am still new here, I always thought that one day I would have to make myself a web site, and wondered how I would have the time to get songs on my site…kids-gigs-and life in general tends to fill up a lot of time…so this place is great and I am out there wanting to make friends and hear some wonderful music. I will be scanning all friend requests, I want to meet musicians/artists and stuff that is relevant to me. So I will not be accepting friends if: Your profile is blocked or you show only a screen name and hide your real name, or there's profanity on your page (by you or your friends), or your page glorifies drugs, drinking, nudity etc... If this stuff does it for you we are not thinking the same way, which is fine, just we wouldn't be friends, which is also fine. This is not a judgment call, just the world we live in.Gani Tamir has been part of the Israeli Music and entertainment scene since the end of 1980. She has participated in some of the most classic productions from Israel TV; Zehu Ze, Motsash, etc, besides some of Israel's most popular performers. She has performed and recorded with all of the leading musicians/vocalist in Israel; Matti Caspi, Danny Sanderson, Alon Olearchik,Yonatan Gefen,Izhar Ashdot, Mosh Ben Ari, Nurit Galron, the list is endless. In the world of Jazz, Gani worked with Roy Crimmins in his big band (Roy worked with both Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong) Harold Rubin; Blue Bag-touring locally and Eastern Europe. Ehud Manor- Israel's leading lyricist (he received the Israel Prize) who wrote jazz lyrics in Hebrew in a unique style specifically for Gani to original compositions, but sadly Ehud died suddenly before it was finished. Gani Times, a WorldJazz quartet that plays originals and standards, just a little bit different. Gani is also Israel's child voice and has masses of credits in the world of Voice Over, commercials and dubbing from Disney to Bamba (An Iconic snack in Israel and now also in China) mmm... yummy
