I was born in London, England and grew up listening to many kinds of music, at home there was jazz and Classical and of course I was surrounded by the explosion of new music and 'funkytimes' that was sweeping the western world in the 1960's...I even saw a concert of the Beatles when I was about 8 years YOUNG. (I don't like the expression...'years old')
I started playing music when I was about 9 and surprise, surprise started focusing on the guitar.
I moved to Israel for a year when I was 12 and found myself searching out the local Arab AM radio stations; the music I heard there was more intense then the 'main stream' music I heard on the radio...I was into heavy rock, Zeppelin etc and Israel at the beginning of the '70's was mixing between Russian and light western 60's style songs, actually fascinating but I was 12 and that was the end of that.
After a year in Israel I returned to England, and became a Rock addict and basically played all the time; school bands, local bands, by myself, whatever I could find... and discovered the bass and I am still discovering the bass.
When I was 16 I returned to israel and found myself in my first professional gig and making money! Aside from 2.5 years where I allowed myself to be suckered into joining the army, all I have been doing since then is making music.
Today I work as a producer, arranger and bass player, concentrating on 'crossover' styles of music...
I have production credits on successful Pop albums...Mosh Ben Ari, Shotei Ha'Nevua (and have produced 20-30 albums)...Jazz credits...Zaviot, one of Israel's most original and legendary Jazz bands...4 Albums and lots of touring. Music for the Israel festival and a bunch of movie scores. I am the band leader in the first Palestinian Israeli band ever...WhiteFlag, formed in 1998 and made up of musicians from Tel Aviv and Gaza.
