Hello myspace people,So, this is me…I’m a singer, composer, writer, and well, other stuff, too. Yep, that’s me.I grew up in a small seaside town called Narragansett, Rhode Island. I was surrounded by three sisters, many cats, and several dogs. We have a pretty artistic family, my mother being an artist and my father being an engineer—and also a classical pianist and composer. Yep, me pops was me first musical influence in life! He has also written beautiful hymns. I remember many a night as a wee one, dancing with my sisters in the living room to Dad’s piano playing.I have played, composed, sung, and performed my whole life. Music and acting have always been a huge part of my self-expression. I studied at music school in the Boston area, learned a lot of good skills, and was fortunate enough to play/sing at places like Scullers Jazz Club. I acquired onstage experience, of course a valuable tool. In recent years, I have chosen to concentrate more on my writing. I am a composer first and foremost, and performing comes second for me.Some people love that applause and adulation that comes with being a performer. There are those who can't get enough of that. Personally, I've never felt a real need for it. I don't feel that fame is real, nor terribly relevant to real life. It's extremely over-rated, and often glorified for all the wrong reasons. However, when fame hits one's life, I feel it is important to be gracious with all those who generiously support you. It is also imperative to utilize that fame for the greater good...and not for personal pride, power, or gain. If you have a big voice in the world due to fame that has come your way, I feel you must take the responsibility that comes with it very seriously. There are too many areas in the world that need work. One could sit and bask in the glory of some award, or some contest you might have won, or the like. Or one could simply grow hungry for more fame, more adulation--not the greatest choice, in my opinion. It's important to take care of yourself, we all need to be able to do that. If you have the means and ability to spread your good fortune around...that's a truly wonderful thing. So…present day business: I have things to offer the world and the Crazy Yet Fun and Rewarding Business of Show. I wanna work with people I feel right with, and for a while there, it seemed like an All or Nothing situation. There were a number of things that didn't work out—but actually, it simply intensified my focus on the Road Ahead. It’s fun to share music and all that other stuff with other people, and that's in the cards for me. That's the reason I never gave up. Eventually, I’ll get the right group together and we’ll have a full band. And, we’ll travel all over the world with our various and sundry offerings!I want to work with people who have a similar global vision. I think there is a lot of good we can do in the world, if we just work together and add as much good energy to this planet as possible. The world is an amazing place—and there is much beauty to behold. (But wouldn't we be Giant Doofuses not to notice that also, our world needs a lotta work??) It does, no question about it. As a friend of mine once beautifully pointed out, it’s very important to shine that much-needed light into some of the darker corners of the world. That's what I try to do, and that is what I strive to be better at, day by day.Let there be light, man! That's all I have to say for the moment. Bye for now, thanks for visiting!Oh, wait, here's one more thing I'd like to put out there:
