This could go on and on. I started a reading journal the other day which reminded me how many great books I've read. Authors I love include Kurt Vonnegut (he even spoke at my graduation from Syracuse! Doesn't get any better), Alice Walker, Barbara Kingsolver, Rita Mae Brown, David Sedaris, Stephen King (books like The Stand or The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, not the truly terrifying stuff), Maya Angelou, Joyce Carol Oates, Gary Snyder, Orson Scott Card, Margaret Atwood...specific books are Weaveworld, by Clive Barker; Another Country, by James Baldwin; Bel Canto, by Ann Patchett; The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath; The Monkey Wrench Gang, by Ed Abbey; On the Road, by Jack Kerouac. And the Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama. Gobama!
