Cubism

Cubism was founded in May 2007 by Tony Thomas, Mark Gwinnett and Richard Belsom with a view to showcase some of the freshest electronic music by some of the worlds best upcoming and established artists, as a sister label to Tony's already hugely succesful Cubic label. The Cubism sound will encompass the very best from deep electronic, minimal, tech house, progressive and techno.
The first Cubism release is an exclusive electronic track from Tony Thomas - Double T, with Lunacy Sound Division, Richard Belsom and rising star - Mark Sun on remix duties. Already recieving huge acclaim from alot of the top DJ's worldwide it's set to be a great debut from the label.
The second release is already being touted as one of the Summer's biggest ep's with plays from the Trophy Twins on Radio 1 and smashing dancefloors worldwide it's Mark Gwinnett and Sam Ball - Loca and Defect. With an enormous remix package featuring minimal giants Monoroom, Richard Belsom, Rob Cockerton, Tim Roberts, Red & Blue, and Darien J this is set to be massive!
7th July 2007 sees Tony Thomas launch the new Cubism club night which will showcase the talents of new and established label artists featured in one way or another on the varied and cross styled Cubic family of labels, and what better place to start than at one of the South East’s best party venues, the legendary Loft in Maidstone, Kent, UK.
Having already established Cubic parties in Jakarta and Sarajevo (with more Cubism parties around the globe being added each month), Tony has teamed up in the UK with Maidstone based Cubic/New Era/CUBISM artists Mark Gwinnett (Lunacy Sound Division), Richard Belsom and Rob Cockerton to run this new night.
In line with the theme of showcasing the full spectrum of artists across Tony's expansive 10 labels, Cubism is also launching a series of mix albums giving people a flavour of the Cubic sound and of what’s coming up on the labels in the future. The label decided it was a natural step to launch a series of mixes not only to showcase the artists work on the label but also to showcase the DJ talents of many of the very talented DJs and Producers who you will find spinning the tunes at the Cubism parties around the world. The mixes are available on CD and also for downloading on line at any of the major digital download web sites together with unmixed versions of all of the tracks featured exclusively for DJs! Watch this space for release date of the unmixed downloadable album towards the end of the summer after many of the featured tracks have ripped a hole in Ibiza legend over the silly season!
So...... for this very special first volume who better to provide the mix than Tony Thomas himself who with his unparalleled style delivers one of his best recorded sets to date and that is a pretty big claim when you are faced with the talent of this man's pedigree. Tony really is one of the original pioneers of UK House/Electro/Tech house and needs no introduction so we’ll let the music do the talking.
