January 2005 ~ Ash played out for the first time for local Portsmouth night 'Stimulate' & then after held a monthly residency there, which is where he was told to enter Portsmouth's famous Vinyl Meltdown DJ competition, which he did that summer going on to beat 35 other contestants straight to winning 1st place. Since winning Vinyl Meltdown he has gone from strength to strength & pushes he's technically abilities to the maximum. Which has led him to be one of Portsmouth's Hottest up & coming DJs. He is now playing out on a regular basis & has played at some of the hottest parties in the U.K. His most proudest playing the Punch Funk Stage on the Opening Friday of Global Gathering 2006!
2007 ~
Ash Sprung into the Production scene with his debut EP ‘Overpar/Underpar’going straight into the Beatport top100. His second release ‘Eclipsed’ was signed to good friend & house master Jon Gurds KillaWatt label. Later in the year it was resigned to Denmarks finest Noir who signed it to his flawless Noir Music label along with Underpar. It then got into the hands of all the major players & gained support from the likes of Mark Knight, Chris Lake, Paul Woolford, Nic Fanciulli,
Fergie, Rob Mooney, James Talk & Wally Lopez who is now putting Eclisped onto the La Factoria compilation due for release 08.
2008~
Looks a very prosperous year for Ash, being named as one of the new PunchFunk Residents alongside Jon Gurd, Dave Robertson & Rob Mooney. Also with a number of new releases to hit the masses. Including remixes from Wally Lopez, Tom Pooks, Rob Mooney & that is only the start.
