Carrying the heavy influences of both Eclectic Amsterdam & House sounds from Paris to Detroit around in his pocket, Leyo as a DJ brings his funkyness to the table in true Amsterdam Style, ranging from House to HipHop, Disco to Broken Beats & Funk to slow burning Techno.On the producer side it’s all about House.
Leyo started producing in 2006 striving to create deep & quality House sounds inspired by the likes of Osunlade, Sonar Kollektiv, Quentin Harris & Spinna to name a few. 2008 sees the release of “Soulstice†& “In the Mood†on djDeep’s world renowned label Deeply Rooted House.After winning the Freshcotton/DJBroadcast/ADE DJ contest, Leyo is mostly known as an Eclectic DJ but with his first two tracks released & backing up for RiskSoundSystem, Leyo is slowly but surely building a name for himself as a House Producer & DJ.Past Residencies: Funk’D-Panama, BodyRock-Sinners, deBoemBep!-BarBep & LuvDining Events.Played venues like: Jimmy Woo, Panama, Bitterzoet, Off Corso, Lichtfabriek, Studio80, Hemkade, Sinners, Musk, Cordes, Altro, Bep, Westergas, Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, Vuong, Hotel Arena, Beurs van Berlage
