About Me

Quince (Utrecht ‘81) is recognized as one of Holland’s biggest talents in the techno scene. Since his first release in 2006 on Amsterdam’s Delsin label, he impressed the music scene with his well produced, warm house sounds. After releasing six very well received EPs through Music Man and Delsin, which were canned by many deejays worldwide, he showed his electronic music to the full spectrum with his debut album ‘Envision’ in 2007. His productions also appeared on mix compilations by Josh Wink, Rolando, Steve Rachmad, David Alvarado, Funk d’ Void and Dave Clarke. This year he will release two new singles through major labels Music Man and Delsin.
Quince’s sound is highly influenced by Detroit artists like Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, Moodymann and in other ways by artists such as Tony Allen and J Dilla. His sound ranges from heavy weighted house tracks, to warm, funky club tracks and melodic techno. Always tight and well balanced productions with a strong dancefloor appeal.
The wide range of tracks from Quince give him the opportunity to play diverse styles of music during his live sets, resulting in different shows every time. Despite his short career he performed already at large festivals as Awakenings, Extrema Outdoor and NYE, Welcome To The Future and all the big clubs and clubnights in Holland. Nowadays he’s expanding his reach by performing all over the world in first rate clubs like his upcoming gig in the Rex Club in Paris and his past gigs in clubs like the Garoud club in Moscow. With Extrema NYE and a big showcase gig at Amsterdam Dance Event coming up Quince is looking forward to getting started on his next full-length artist-album and a bunch of high quality releases on several big global labels.
