Subconscious Dream or "Subcon" as known by their fans are a 3 piece alternative rock act hailing from the town of Cirencester in Gloucestershire.
The band have recently released their self-titled debut demo CD (which has been reviewed by lables like "Parlophone" and "Shifty Disco Records") and are currently in the process of booking shows across the Gloucestershire area. Prior to the release of the demo the band had already graced many venues across Gloucestershire and beyond, building a strong core fan base with their meld of blistering hard rock songs such as "Nightmare" or the mysteriously titled "Steve", but also more progressive/melodic tunes such as "Rumours" or "Moral Panic"
The band are also gaining excellent training and exposure; at Bristol, Access To Music where Matt and Tom are both studying, and The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London where Hugh won a full scholarship. Hugh is also writing a regular article for bass guitar magazine, in addition to appearing and playing a solo slot at the London Guitar Show in April 2007.
Subcon have been featured artists on the VQ limelight pod cast and have supported leading Reading based Indie band "The Race" at the Stroud subscription rooms, aswell as many others such as the "Rival Joustas" and "Brothermandude" who are currently signed to "Virgin" records. Subconscious Dream are an incredibly dedicated, unique and exciting band to listen to and more so to watch live, well worth any ticket price and at such an early age, will most definitely always be escalating to higher levels and be around for a very long time.
