My First Music is a community based music promotions co-operative. MFM was formed in May 2007 with the intention of rejuvenating the Ayrshire music scene.
The group comprises of like-minded individuals with backgrounds in music promotion, production and performance. One of our aims is to create a sense of community among local bands and music fans. MFM also seeks to establish links with organisations and local companies associated with music. Communication and interaction is key but so is having a good time.
Initially we are adopting a back-to-basics approach. Small, well organised shows with the emphasis on good music. MFM always use a professional PA system and sound engineer to ensure great sounding gigs. We also take care of printing our own tickets, flyers and posters and take a pro-active approach to ensuring our events are well publicised. The money raised from MFM gigs shall be used to further develop and promote music in Ayrshire. In the future we intend to organise larger events and attract some bigger, well-known bands and artists to the area.
If you are a band or a solo artist and would like to play one of our gigs then get in touch and let us hear your music. MFM is a non pay-to-play promoter. Our group comprises of many musicians and we approach our gigs with the artist as well as the audience in mind. We look forward to hearing from you.
