About Me

Combine the soothing country flair of one long haired evangalist, with a diverse chord obsessed bleach blonde music buff and you have Amstirdam. So individual and quirky is this outfit, the final product leaves a concoction which can be easily digested by almost anyone who takes the time to listen to it. For the music goer who enjoys a bit of everything, theres country, rock, pop hooks and almost any funky genre one might muster. The band initially formed after both members previous bands dissolved, and their friendship and passionate enamourment with music brought them together. Real work began mid 2006 on a couple of previously shelved songs the two had, and gradually expanded on others to produce simple but effective structures and articulate lyrics.
As of February 2007, the line-up for the band is now ready. Joining the band full time we have David Irvine on bass guitar and John McIntosh on drums/percussion.
Amstirdam's debut E.P "Another Night" is now available to purchase at upcoming gigs.
Amstirdam have been busy writing new material and work has already began on the recording of the bands second E.P. It should be finished soon and a launch party will be organised in the near future. so watch out!!!
