One day while in the company of some cousins, who had a gift of putting words together that rhymed, Tree and Twigg caught the bug and began free styling as well. A cousin, who's like a brother(Lo the Pink Panth) and a friend who's like a bro.(Bone)were serious about recording a song and invited them to sing vocals on the chorus. Marcus Sibert, co-owner/producer of the studio (Way2Tight) heard the two free styling and suggested that they rap verses on the songs too. The song was a success and Mr. Sibert thought the four (Twigg, Tree, Bone and Lo)should start a group. The group is called Flat Ties which is an acronym meaning, “Freedom Lies Amongst The Thoughts In Every Soul”. Flat Ties combined their creative brainstorms and gave birth to some of the coldest music you ever heard in your life.Throughout this process of development they were able to open shows for Goodie Mob, Outkast, Lil John & The Eastside Boys, Bubba Sparkx, Trick Daddy, Trina and Ludacris. They have ripped crowds in D.C. (that's deep country and District of Columbia),Baltimore,Richmond,Charlotte,Columbia,Atl,and Jackson.It was Twigg and Tree's destiny to record “Everyday Bang” ,their debut duo album. The creativeness of the album takes you from the perspective of how guns would feel towards their owners, if they had a brain and a heart,lungs,bladder and a mouth ect.Then it smoothly progresses around to "Putting me down", a stylish and melodic dialog of the brothers consistent negativity from haters ,but on top they stand. Also,in effort to inspire the woman to get loose and quit acting stingy, they brought out "Open up","Thug lovin"and "Topless".
