This year the CMPM is working with the SPA6 Council in an effort to provide educational workshops to High School students and their parents. As a result, we will be hosting a series of workshops aimed towards improving and empowering the lives of all women, of all ages. With these workshops we are especially aiming to educate and empower our youth; therefore, we will be discussing many topics related to women’s issues, such as:
Women’s Health & Indigenous Women’s Health + Healing; Reproductive Health; Teen Pregnancy
Women & Immigration
Domestic Violence & Self-Defense
Women & Leadership
and so much more...
El Comite de Mujeres Patricia Marin meets once a month, normally the 2nd Sunday of every month and is open to all women of all ages and backgrounds.
This month our regular meeting was rescheduled from the 2nd Sunday to the following date:

WHO WE ARE:
The Comite de Mujeres Patricia Marin (CMPM) is a project of Union del Barrio that started over 10 years ago in San Diego, CA and has been in L.A. for over a year now. We are a group of active and progressive women committed to the struggle for self-determination of our people. As activists, we come together each month in order to develop our political education and participation as revolutionary women.
We learn about our Indigenous Roots, roles and contributions within HERstory and HIStory across Latin America. We address different social injustice issues affecting our communities today and organize our communities from a women of color perspective.
