The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) is a nonprofit based in Washington, D.C., that works to preserve the heritage and culture of Americans of Italian descent, the nation's fifth largest ethnic group.
NIAF has many programs for students and young adults, including a Scholarship Program, Graduates to Leaders Workshops in Law and Communications, The Gift of Discovery (an annual trip to Italy), Youth Gala and NIAF Grants Program, among many others. Additionally, NIAF works to:
* Serve as a liaison between the Italian American community and U.S. Congress, the White House and government agencies.
* Ensure a realistic portrayal of Italian Americans in the media.
* Serve as a clearinghouse of information on Italy and Americans of Italian descent.

Born in Rome the 6th of February, 1972, Roberto Giglio develops his interest in the field of music. He studied at the Saint Louis College of Music in Roma where in 1990 he specialized in Jazz Harmony. His talent and research allowed him to fill many roles, that of a musician, a director and a composer.
