My name is Evan Py and I am a recording engineer / producer in the Bay Area , Ca. I am the owner of InLine Productions, a small independent label on the west coast. We specialize in audio recording, band management and video production. My philosophy on how I run my business is to let the musician have the power to make the choices about their music unlike the way a major label is run where the power is held by the top level executives. I'm here to capture the best recording from your performance. If you are a solo artist and you want a full band on your album I can help you craft your " sound " into something that fits your style. I have many professional and soulful musicians to choose from to create a unique sound for your next recording. Maybe you just want to do an acoustic recording ( which I really love to do ) just you and your instrument. I always believe less is more in many situations. Maybe not in the case of "big band" or "ska style" music where I say say bring on the instruments. I really would love to record a band with a big horn section. Whatever the case may be I think you will be extremely happy with end product that I can produce for you. ____________________________________________________________ ___I went to Full Sail recording school back in '97 in Orlando, FL. I graduated in '98 and did my internship at Criteria Recording Studio in Miami, Fl where I picked up on how the " big boys " in the industry record music. I was fortunate enough to sit in on sessions with producers like Tom Dowd and Eric Shilling who were regulars at Criteria. I also worked with bands like AeroSmith, Mars Electric, 2 Live Crew, Stephen and David Marley, Matchbox 20, Collective Soul and many more. After my 9 month internship was up at Criteria I moved back up to Orlando and took a paid 2nd engineering position at Trans Continental Studios. I worked with many pop stars here like N'sync, 95 south, Jordan Knight, LFO, Phoenix Stone, Aaron Carter, Boyz & Girlz , Lisa Lopez and many more. I grew very bored with the same style of music here but again I learned many things watching the producers and engineers work here. I also picked up on the business side of things during these periods of time that I worked full time at a major label's studio._____________________________________________________ _ Currently I manage and produce Ray Riddle under my company label. I am however always looking for new talent to record when I am back in town. Before we go any further I must tell you that I ALWAYS record to 2" tape whenever possible.
