Mr Averell is a composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist and acknowledged performer living in the Netherlands. He's also involved in theatre-showpieces as writer, performer and soundtrack-composer.
In his spare time he's hooked on playing and collecting framedrums and studied Indian Tabla in the nineties with maestro Sandip Bhattacharya for a couple of years.
He collaborated in several projects together with respected artists like; Martijn Alsters, Sandip Bhattacharya , Piet-Jan Blauw , Arthur Brown , John Ellis , Mike Garson , Stuart Gordon , Peter Hammill , Han Hazewindus , Tammo Heikens , David Jackson , Dhroeh Nankoe , Don Preston , Hossam Ramzy , The Sabri Brothers , Lieven Slabbinck , Judge Smith , Willem Tanke and many more...
Since June 2006 Mr Averell is a member of The Art of Doing Nothing Ensemble founded by organist Willem Tanke . Mr Averell adds percussion, live-electronics, accordeon and voice there.

You may notice the name Rene van Commenee at some albums; well Mr Averell is known under this name as well ;-).
