About Me

As you can see I'm not really a band, but a freelance tuba player in Germany. I am an american and have lived here since the summer of 2000. I studied in the states and am still doing some grad work here, I've recently gotten into the soloist's program here called Konzertexam, which is more than a Master's but less than a Doctorate. I've performed with a number of the professional orchestras here in NRW and am looking for a permanent job. I studied Music(composition and performance)and German at the University of Wisoconsin Oshkosh. I finished my basic studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, Germany in January, 2005. My main teachers were David Sawall(former Bass-trombonist from the T.Doresy and Glenn Miller bands) Charles Isaacson(professor for low brass at Oshkosh), Joe Stegemann(a freelance bass-trombonist who used to work in Chicago and was a memeber of the Florida Orchestra) and Hans Gelhar(Tuba player, Gürzenich Orchester, Bayreuther Festspiele etc.) I've held two temporary positions since I've been in Germany. One in Cologne with the Gürzenich Orchestra and the other in Düsseldorf. Both orchestras play symphonic concerts and opera. If you go to my brass quintet's page you can hear some of our stuff there too. www.myspace.com/pentaphonicbrass As of september 2007 I have been teaching at the Rheinische Musikschule as an assistent for the Bläserklassen. Basically just teaching tuba and euphonium. Layout Provided By CodeMyLayout.com - Myspace Layouts

Sounds Like: For info about the songs click on lyrics. Just a word about Tomasi. Many have asked... no, there was NO reverb added. The piece was recorded in the Chamber Music Hall in the Academy of Music in Cologne. Pretty scary, huh? The only instruments that sound good in there are Harpsichord and Recorder. :-)
