Narayan Chandra Adhikary & the Bauls of Bengal

Narayan Chandra Adhikary Baul, is one of the most important Bauls of Bengal Masters. He is known as the greatest player of Dotara (little indian lute) all over the Bengal. In the last years he has brought his art in Europe, trying to preserve and convey the old tradition of Bauls of Bengal.Mystic singers, wandering minstrels, the Bauls of Bengal preserve one of the oldest and fascinating Indian traditions. Born from the meeting of different religious expressions, such as Tantrism, Buddhism, Sufism, Vaishnavism, they consacrate their existence to dance, music and singing becoming this the vehicle to express and convey intimate joy, universal brotherhood, enabling to discover the Divine inside every man’s heart. The team of Master Narayan Chandra Adhikary & UDASH Bauls of Bengal is composed by five musicians presenting various kind of Baul’s old traditional songs: of extasis, love, teaching, devotion; music melody and dances similar to Sufi tradition.
