A Journey in Solo Piano

About Me

This page is dedicated to the loving memory of pianist
and extraordinary human being
Mr Fred Rogers
DB Martin, the pianist, was born out of magical happenstance. Now 44 years of age, DB's journey with the piano began to unfold two-thirds into his life by a seemingly coincidental meeting with a piano. With no experience with the piano, having an unforeseeable opportunity to sit at one at length, a talent began to emerge instantaneously. One week after "noodling" on the piano DB was being compared to George Winston and Erik Satie. This chance meeting would all but change DB's life forever and send him in a direction that was only seen in his dreams. "How do I explain it" DB says, "I sat at this magical piano and my hands began doing things I didnt know they could do." What was evident was when DB played live, his audience fell into almost trance like states taking in the soft almost spoken compositions DB would play. "It's certainly a gift and I intend to honour it" notes DB. "Things like this don't just happen everyday." Listen and let the music take you on the journey with DB Martin.
If you'd like to have DB provide a backdrop of solo piano to your upscale gathering or event send a message and contact information will be provided to you. Thanks for stopping by and for listening!
