My interests range from the smallest in microbiology to entire complex structures or systems. I'm interested in the development of individual personality and behavior, to the development of entire social systems that make up different cultures and traditions in every country, and each country's influence on the entire world (human or other) going all the way back to the smallest microorganism. In conclusion, I am truly interested in everything, as everything has an influence on something, and something can eventually influence anything that has an influence on you (all the way down to the smallest microorganism :). Our primal instinct (hunting, gathering, fighting, breeding etc.) can guide or prevent a positive progression. Primal instinct is good, provided it is "properly" influenced by our unique ability to reason. In short, follow your dreams, educate yourself, and search for "reality" in all that you do. Anyone who has the ability to be as compassionate, dedicated, brave, sacrificing, open minded, and able to love~~ In addition to those people, I'm interested in meeting musical artists in every category and style of music. My eclectic interests extend to music throughout the United States and around the world.
I love good music in almost every category. I have a great passion for stringed instruments (especially cello), and piano. I also appreciate musical artist who write, play, sing, and have dynamic stage presence. Good examples are Tori Amos, and Beth Hart (just to name a few). In addition, I like to reminisce on the artists who influenced the evolution of music (too many to mention here.
I'm in the process of writing a book. The title of the book is called "Where's Eric?" It's about a little boy's struggle, and his being lost through the cracks of society as a homeless adult with Aspergers. Aspergers was not in the Diagnostic Manual until 1994 (DSM IV). Eric was barely an adult at that time, but old enough to miss any chance for help. The criteria for diagnosing Aspergers is focused primarily on children. He eventually self medicated through alcohol and spiraled into the invisible, or what society would deem as "the homeless". With numerous specialist documenting his neurological handicap since childhood, why has Eric not received any assistance? Even with the recent research and funding in the area of Autism and Aspergers, why do those who "know everything", know nothing about Eric? I dedicate this song (following video) to you Eric~~~~~~~

My Hero: The person who has a drive to better the life of a child and help the homeless. The person who can recognize when another person is hurting and express concern. The person who dares to have their voice heard and stands up for those who are either too passive, or no longer have the will to stand. Shannon
