Willem Niehorster

I was born in the biggest city of the world, México City. At age 15 I started playing guitar in a rock band with my mates. Learned the basics of guitar playing. When I became 18 I went to USA for 5 years were I studied Architecture and took classic guitar lessons. In 1986 I moved to The Netherlands and finished in 1991 my studies at the Royal Dutch Academy of Fine and Applied Arts.I like writing music and playing with bands, playing with a drummer and a bas player and have all the freedom as a guitarist. Power Trios. At the beginning of 2006 I started playing fretless guitar. I had trouble playing rhythm guitar with no frets so I decided to build a double neck fretless/fretted/headless guitar. It has become my main instrument. (Check the pictures in my photo album).Learning to play fretless guitar is my present motivation but I just enjoy playing guitar, with or without frets, it's therapeutical!
