Drum like you mean it.

About Me

The stuff on here are home recordings of some ideas I've had knocking around my head since the summer of 06. They each consist of just one drum track and one guitar track. I have been using Ludwig drums and a Fender Squire guitar played through the M-Audio Black Box. There is other stuff to follow with the intention of an album. Then of course get a band together and start playing around Le Monde. See you out there.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Johnny Mars
Influences: Good bands with good players e.g. The Stone Roses, Beatles, Primal Scream, Flaming Lips, The Meters, Tortoise, Can, Neu!, Ash Ra Temple, Cluster, Amon Duul, The Window Right, Slint, Polvo, DJ Shadow, Thin Lizzy, Rollerskate Skinny, Beach Boys, Guided by Voices, Jimi Hendrix, Jim O' Rourke, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, Sebadoh, Pavement, Red Snapper, Amon Tobin, Boards of Canada, Led Zeppellin, The Who, My Bloddy Valentine, Dave Pajo, John Squire, Steve Malkmus, Ronald Jones, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Bobby Gillespie, Steven Drozd, Phil Lynnot, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Nightmares on Wax, Four-Tet, Seefel, Reni, Mani, Ian Brown, Brian Wilson, Joe Morello, Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Kinky Freedman....I don't know much about the last two but with names like that they gotta be fly. Also influenced by kind faces (no, that's not a band) and all manner of seekers, fakers, pill poppers and takers. Below are two live recordings of one of my favourite bands, Tortoise. I really like what they do and the way they do it. They are probably the best band in the World at the moment. I would prefer if you watched them than listened to Needs Rx.
Sounds Like: Mars Rock.
Record Label: Music is about fun and expression.
Type of Label: None

John Squire.

A very very recent interview with the great man. Nice to see him so relaxed with the World. Eleven years since he has spoken with Ian Brown. It goes to show what an intimate thing music can be. For so...

Scenarios.

A definite scenario has developed i.e. I do not like the process of recording music. It wrecks my head. I think I could play forever and still not exhaust the idea bank, but the actual process of nail...
