About Me

"Inside every older person is a younger person --wondering what in the world happened."

I'm a young-thinking-and-feeling wife and mother. I love my life and my family! I love music so much!! I came from it, I was in it, and I gave birth to it apparently. I raised two wonderful daughters, Caitlin and Wendy, and a terrific son, Jesse. In 2005 I was reunited with my birth son, John, and getting to know him and his family has been very rewarding.

My Interests

The most important part of my life is my loving family and friends. Next, of course, is music. I LOVE going to live shows. Books. Movies. Theatre and Showtunes. Cats. Flowers. The ocean. Photography. Playing my Fender acoustic guitar. Writing poetry, lyrics, and *thoughts.*

I'd like to meet:

See the people in my top friends? If I don't already know them, I wish I did. And of course

Music:

NOW PLAYING:
"FEEL IT"
BY TODD RUNDGREN

"They don't know what it's like to love some silly little piece of music, or some band, so much that it hurts."
(Almost Famous)

"Son, Someday you will make a girl very happy for a short period of time in your life. Then she will leave you and be with other men, men who are TEN times better than you could ever hope to be.These men are called MUSICIANS."

Major heroes: Todd Rundgren, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Peter Gabriel. I like classic rock, new wave, progressive, indie, alt-country, jazz, classical, soundtracks from my favorite movies, well...basically almost all music with a few exceptions.

My favorite local southern California bands are Beyond 7, Waiting 4 Wyatt, and Elemenopy. All these bands have pages on MySpace if you'd like to check them out.

A sampling of my many favorite bands and artists: Wilco (which includes solo work by Jeff Tweedy), Beck, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, U2, Sigur Ros, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Jackson Browne, Yo Yo Ma, John Coltrane...oh, how can I go on? There are so many.

Movies:

I like many different kinds of film, ranging from comedy to classics, from gangsters to gladiators. ("Do you like gladiator movies, Joey?") It's almost impossible to make a list without leaving out something important! But off the top of my head, some of my favorites: SERENITY! Casablanca. It's A Wonderful Life. The Day the Earth Stood Still. Stage Door. Spartacus. Goodfellas. My Bodyguard. Empire Records. That Thing You Do! The Caine Mutiny. Metropolis. The Giant Gila Monster ;-) See what I mean? From the sublime to the ridiculous ;-)

Television:

Books:

CURRENTLY READING:
STRANGERS
BY DEAN KOONTZ

Almost anything by Dean Koontz!

~Some other favorites~

Swan Song by Robert McCammon

The Stand, The Talisman, and 'Salem's Lot by S. King

Reliquary or any other book that includes the character Special Agent Pendergast. These books were written by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child; after Reliquary they include Cabinet of Curiosities, Still Life With Crows, Brimstone, Dance of Death, Book of the Dead, and the latest, The Wheel of Darkness

And WAY too many other authors and books to remember!

Heroes:

My husband, my kids, my parents. People who just keep on trying no matter what. People who act as their conscience dictates. People who listen. People who care.

Well, this pretty much sucks.
