I started playing Hurdy-Gurdy in 1981 when my dad began making them, (see www.hurdy-gurdy.co.uk) They are the best instruments in the world by the way. I played with Blowzabella from 1985-2004 (see www.blowzabella.com) also 'Whirling Pope Joan' with julie murphy and Ian Luff from 1991-95, (see juliemurphymusic.com), Page and Plant from 1994-6 and with Loreena Mckennitt from 1996-2006. My main recording sessions have been with the above also, The Blue Aeroplanes, Marc Almond, Scott Walker and The Palladian Ensemble. I've played on many film soundtracks including 'The Shipping News' and 'Kingdom of Heaven'.
