I got my act together...

About Me

Captain Easychord is a singer/songwriter/keyboardist from Somerville who has been playing assorted bars, coffeehouses and art galleries in the Boston area since 2002. For the past 20 years he has also been privately playing as a bassist, keyboardist, songwriter and vocalist for various bands in both his native Merrimack Valley area (as Slight Return, Catalytic Reaction, Tattered Remnants, The Remnants, and currently Rustbucket) and in the Boston area (as Truckin', Big Head, Candleabra and currently Rock), where he's resided since 1994. In addition to performing, he was an on-air host and local music director at WJUL (now WUML) at University of Massachusetts-Lowell, an intern at the indie record company Ryko, and a sales associate and consignment buyer at the now defunct Tower Records. Additionally, he is also an avid record collector, specializing in Beatles (and solo), Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, and Stereolab releases. Captain Easychord plays original material and a few selected covers from his musical heroes. His songs ranges from the pop bounce of "My Blind Shrink" and "Happy Times" to the bluesy-rock of "Concrete Pillow" and "Blackin' Out" to the soothing balladry of "Walk On Air Again" and "Milky Way". The Captain has put out a self-released 3-song CD and is currently working on a full-length release due out in early 2008.
