About Me

Nocturna, now in our 19th year, is an 18+ dark alternative dance night held once a month at Metro (3730 N. Clark Street) in Chicago.

DJ Scary Lady Sarah flies in from Berlin, Germany each month for Nocturna and spins a highly request-driven mix of current & classic goth, industrial, post-punk, deathrock, ethereal, shoegaze, new wave, ebm, darkwave, dark indie & more.

It's a lot of fun & you should go! We're open until 5:00am, so you can dance until dawn! ;)

My Interests

Music! Dancing! Socializing! Having fun at Nocturna, Chicago's only 18+ dark alternative dance night, held at the revered & venerated Metro!

I'd like to meet:

All fans of dark alternative music!!! Goths, rivetheads, indie kids, deathrockers, new wavers, punks, rockers, gloom'm'doomers, electro-punks, whatever-you-want-to-call- yourself (or not), as long as you want to come hear good music & have fun!We didn't think this even needed to be stated, but apparently, it does: Nocturna will not accept add requests from people who are racists, homophobic, otherwise bigoted, hunters, right-wing or overtly religious of any sort. Even if you do like our music, we don't like you. :p

Music:

Dark alternative: goth, industrial, dark indie, shoegaze, deathrock, ebm, new wave, dark wave, post-punk, electro-punk, ethereal, punk, psychobilly, dreampop, power noise, cabaret...and you never know what else!
