About Me

PROMETHiUM61 is a musical terrorist brigade that has existed since the year 2004, a group risen from the ashes of failed projects. Ideas were had, experiments were conducted, and the end result was a band that classifies itself as being cyber-punk, industrial, and drum 'n' bass metal amongst a plethora other genres. This group consists of an electronic trinity in the recordings: XM8500 the vocalist and guitar + bass synthesist (there are no string instruments in ANY of the recordings), the keyboardist/sampler PSR-540 and the live drummer/programmer DM5. The 3 have tried many different musical experiments ranging from swapping instruments to working behind their computers and sending files back and forth via instant messengers and e-mails (the latter resulting in "ghost tracks" which can be found online for free download) and are constantly looking for interesting methods to create music. The band multiplies when it takes the stage with the addition of a bassist and a second guitarist, for XM cannot perform and sing all that he writes (this never having been his intention). They are currently re-recording their first album, giving it "a musical facelift" and letting the songs be heard as originally intended.Be forewarned, they are a visceral experience live and a force to be reckoned with...
