Hardcore dj from the UK. Owner of Lucky Breaks records. One of only a few UK djs that mix up the breakbeat and the 4/4 AND gets a chance to play that style out. I do hope that more an more people will get hooked to checking sets with upfront hardcore D+B an breakbeat all mixed up. Started on radio in london on addiction FM in 1998(that was the first decent pirate i got on)which ran an did very well up untill late 99. We peaked with our Addicted to dance all nighters that still rank as some of the best nights ive played at. By late 99 tho i was getting very bored of what was going on in the hardcore scene,the same cheese was pumped out everywhere an i just played old skool an d+b for the next year an got myself a set on london radio legend Eruption fm. I never thought id get back in to upfront hardcore but a good friend of mine(DJ Uplift)was getting booked around london a fair bit an i started to travel with him to bookings. It took a while but i came across a night called Elation which was by far the best little night id been to in years,to be honest these nights made me get off my backside an play/make music that i wanted to ,it seemed to work at Elation. By this time id played for Dreamscape Ravenation an club lab +other small nights so i thought id try to get a booking at elation. Lucky for me djs Ponder+HB were in to what i wanted to do(mix up all styles in one set with a strong breakbeat flava). thanks to Elation ive been able to push on an get bookings for uk events such as Hardcore til i die,Raindance,Uproar.Hardcore heaven,Total bedlam,Polysexual,Frantic,Innovation,total hypnosis,+more. Also outside of uk ive played for Nocturnal comissions canada an am in the process of sorting out some more overseas dates. Also own an run my own recored label called "Lucky Breaks" which is due to release its 5th piece of vinyl very soon. Lucky Breaks records was started in late 2003 and has featured artists such as Uplift Luna-C Ponder lukozade Cube hard an MC Chit chat along with myself. The second release on Lucky Breaks "the new zealand story"by myself an ponder was featured on a bonkers cd mixed by the one an only dj Sharkey. Also the remix which was done by the CLSM made its way on to bonkers 16. as 2007 gets nearer i will be focusing on a lucky breaks mp3 store. This way the music gets to you faster than waiting for me to press up vinyl. Lucky breaks 006 will be the last vinyl release for now but i dont rule them out in the future.
