Alittle about Me
Dj Sc@r’s passion for music started back in 1989, as an 8 year old in Sydney, Australia where she started learning to play the piano. Discovering dance music in 1992 from listening to her brothers tapes her fascination of the rave culture developed into a life experience, from her first rave at Utopia in 2000, to collecting vinyl in from the summer of ‘02 and performing live in 2006. Travelling to the UK in 2004, she was mesmerised by the size of the scene and the quality of the parties. It was then where she met Steve aka DJ Uplift and was inspired by his style of music production. Drawn to her love and dedication for the hardcore scene, Uplift invited her to join the internationally recognised hardcore label Raw Elements. Her talent blossomed and now earning recognition through her dazzling upfront sets into 2007.
Raw Elements and The Future
Returning to Sydney at the end of 2005, Sc@r’s first task as a member of the RE Crew was to promote the label & djs down under and organise the first successful Australian Tour. Uplift & Euphony arrived and had a massively victorious tour playing in Sydney and Melbourne. Sc@r quickly joined them playing at numerous parties in Sydney including Dosage, Experimental and Groove Inc. Arriving back to the UK in April 2006, within weeks she acquired residencies at Raindance, Hardcore Xpression, Hardcore Hysteria, History Of Hardcore, Xtreme Rush, Happy Nation parties whilst also playing at Total Ardcore, Flabbergast, Out Of This World 1&2, Statik and Y18? on the Isle of Wight, Hardcore Evolution and Nemisis in Wales and many more! Her week is jammed packed with playing as a resident on radio shows with Eruption 101.3fm, Happyhardcore.com, Kraftyradio and Historyofhardcore radio and had the opportunity to performing on UnityOldSkool radio and Happynationraido for a year and half. Sc@rs career is ready to boom with her first two tracks just being unleashed in Nov 2007 - Raw Elements 20, ‘Dreamtime’, a strong Aussie culturally influenced track and ’Lift Off’ a classic track strongly influenced by the original Raw Elements sounds. For sneak preview of whats sounds are to come, Check out Bonkers 17: Rebooted. A 3 cd hardcore compliation album out by Resist Music features ’ONE’ by Uplift and Sc@r on the Birsk and Ham cd. October/November 2007 successfully saw Sc@rs first Canadian tour playing in Qubec, and twice in Toronto. Raw Elements are fortunate to have a hard working member on the team, with the young lady’s work bringing about the imminent birth of a an exclusive clothing brand and a digital label. Sc@r and Uplift just combined together to hold their first rave on the 15th September 2007 ’Lee Newton: Gone But Not Forgotten’ , Dedicating the night to Geordie, a beloved raver of the london scene who will be sadly missed.

Sc@r’s aim is to make each individual track she produces unique from the last, solely based on her passion for music, travelling experiences and cultural background. Her influencing education started by Dj brother Jason who introduced her to the world of techno and parties back in the days of Capella. Happy Hardcore quickly became her prominent favourite and looked up to much-loved producers Hixxy, Sy and Dune. Locally following, Sydney idols Dj Shade and Paul Holden for their classic tracks, and talents of scratching, sampling and cuts. Mike Euphony and Dj Uplift have become her most recent influences for their tough percussion and raw sounds. Sc@r dedicates her life to music, shes following her dreams to contribute to the hardcore scene in which she loves so much.
