Rather than write this in third person and pretend to be something I'm not, I'll be down to earth and tell it how it is :-) I have been a lover of music since I was a kid... the first words I ever wrote where actually "Status Quo"! The first thing I ever bought? I think it was something cringe worthy like Brother Beyond or Bros. My awesome dad bought me a turntable for a fiver from a second hand shop and I'd spin stuff like D-Mob Acieeeed and Yazz, happily to myself in the corner of the room. "That's the best £5 I ever spent", he later admitted. I wasnt your ordinary kid, I was only 5 years old and I was a total music nut. Many years later, in the summer of 1997, I started buying 12" dance music records and became a bedroom DJ, doing it ‘just for fun’ and secured a few gigs in the years that followed. Whilst DJ’ing isn’t at the forefront of my hobbies more recently, I still enjoy the occasional mix at home and the odd bookings are always exciting.
I have been involved in various label projects and my 'career' was quickly jump started in 2001 as I became a co-owner of the fairly short lived record label Phase 4 with Tom Wright (Stargazer) and Ryan Bennet (Rushout) and later the sole owner and operator of the label Innervision . In 2006 Trancewarez Recordings & Music Publishing was established as a partnership between myself and Jeremy Trimby (Vandall); I departed from Trancewarez in November 2006 and have since been pursuing a solo career again.
During this evolving musical journey, either working alone or as a producer for other artists, my productions and material have been aired and used worldwide, as well as receiving big club support from a whole host of respected DJ’s. I am proud of my achievements so far and have met and worked with some great people.
If you've got this far, well done, I've almost finished my rubbish write up! As a person, I don't claim to be a part of any kind of scene or cult, neither do I try to fit into one, I just am who I am. I have an awesome group of friends, we generally do ridiculous stuff which I'm sure will one day result in someone getting arrested or seriously injured! I try to make the most out of everything, even bad situations; life's too short to be any different. I'm far from perfect, so I hope you can learn something from my mistakes.
