I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

I live in Baltimore, Maryland, and work as a software engineer for the Space Telescope Science Institute. We're the people who administer and operate the Hubble Space Telescope for NASA. I have my own website at brucegarrett.com , where I blog more regularly on personal matters and political issues. I post a weekly gay political cartoon there on my site every Monday . I also maintain a small gallery of my art photography.
I grew up in the late 60/early 70s, and am very much a product of those times. Still wear jeans, sneakers and my hair long, still hold many of the same values I did growing up.
The art geek and computer geek within me are in a constant struggle for my time I have built my own PC's from parts since the first IBM PCs came out. I currently run several on my home network, including two Linux boxes, a Mac G5 tower and a Windows XP system. I recently built an AMD 64 box which I run 64 bit SuSE Linux on. The Mac sits down in my artroom, next to my drafting table and easel, and the scanner I use for my cartoons and negatives. My political cartoons have run in Stonewall News Northwest and Family & Friends Magazine. I am also currently working on a series of cartoons about what it was like to come out to myself when I was a teen, back in the 1970s.

Bruce's Schools:

Charles W. Woodward High School
Bethesda, Maryland. 1969-1972
Montgomery Jr. College
Rockville, Maryland. 1973-1975
I Would Put My School List In The Usual Place If MySpace Would Update Their School List Someday So I Can Add My High School.
I don't normally like these little quiz things, but this particular one got it right:
You are a Self-Discoverer
You're not religious, but you've created your own kind of spirituality.
Introspective and thoughtful, you tend to look inward for the divine.
You are distrusting of all forms of organized religion.
You especially dislike religious gurus and leaders, who you feel are charlatans. What's Your Religious Philosophy?
