About Me

Patricia Nell Warren has lived a long and colorful life as a best-selling author, publisher, civil-rights activist, educator, youth advocate and businesswoman. At 71, she has published eight books, four poetry volumes, and hundreds of magazine articles, not only in English, but 10 other languages as well. She has won many national awards for her writing and activism. In 1993, Warren went independent as an author, joining with L.A. media specialist/author Tyler St. Mark to found Wildcat Press, a company that now publishes her own work and St. Mark's. Wildcat Press is the book-publishing version of an independent record label or independent film studio. The company has also helped fight for free speech in the U.S. by participating in two major cases involving censorship on the Internet, that went to the U.S. Supreme Court.
