About Me

I'm usually described as unusual. I'm an anomaly, something that shouldn't really exist, yet somehow manages to survive. I'm certainly not your typical female. I'm a member of Mensa, so my IQ may have a lot to answer for....I suppose you could say I'm between jobs at present. Having had different but bad experiences working for two different companies, I am now attempting to find my feet in the world of the self-employed and put my IT and web development skills to good use. Only time will tell if I succeed, or if I am going to have to go back to work for someone else.Hobby wise I'm into computer and board games, the odd bit of reading, playing the flute and listening to music.

My Interests

I suppose you'd call me a bit of a computer addict when it comes to the gaming aspect. .., I mainly play FPS or the Discworld MUD.When I'm not playing on the computer, you'll usually find me involved with some board game or other. I used to play chess quite a lot but haven't played seriously in ages. Mainly playing a german board game called Settlers of Catan these days...

Music:

I've actually got quite varied music tastes, but the one thing I absolutely cannot stand is Rap.There are a few people I've been following since the 80s like Howard Jones, Twisted Sister and Chris Rea, but I've not found much to interest me in the UK or US music scene of late.Instead, virtually every band I've picked up on recently seems to be coming from Finland (getting waaay too many to mention these days! - keep an eye on my friends list which regularly expands with Finnish bands that have managed to be bothered with a myspace site)Considering how little European music gets played over here, I must be heading for some kind of record.Perhaps I ought to move....

Movies:

Mostly Sci-fi or action. Typical examples would bePirates of the Carribean, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and The Matrix

Television:

Not that much these days...

Books:

You'll find me mostly reading horror or fantasy. Clive Barker, Stephen King, David Eddings, Anne Mccaffrey, Mercedes Lackey to name but a few

Video update!

Well I just found a different way to solve the problem of having too many videos from Finnish bands. So Voila! We now have an entire playlist embedded so I don't have to keep changing them. Enjoy!...
