Beginning of The End
An era slips through my fingers as an infinite sadness smothers each breath. The somber silence hovers for what seems an eternity. I contemplate many things, yet decide nothing. Caught in a trance of nostalgic imagery, my eyes fixate on the method of my escape. I ponder its promise, yet find myself here, with only words to save me.

The Death of a Heart
Perceptions often distorted;
Things not always as they seem.
Reality is often illusion,
That which is but a dream.
What appears to be happiness,
Is but merely a cheerful mask.
Nothing but a pleasant fiction;
A daily perfected task.
Can love break all barriers?
Can it save an aching soul?
Can it redeem a self betrayal?
Can it make an empty heart whole?
A lifetime of vast ocean,
The distance between two.
Tied to the past and present;
In my thoughts I often find you.

The Path Less Followed
There is a path that leads to eternity;
Where trees guide the way with unwavering certainty.
There is a path where pain ceases and dreams are released;
Where ones level of consciousness is greatly increased.
There is a path that if you dare follow,

There is a path to understanding
where you will instinctively know;

The Little Things
There is beauty in the little things

Love at first sight. Does it exist? Can you really love someone from the first time you see them? The first time I saw the man in the photo above, I was walking down a hallway towards him. From first glance I knew many things. I knew I would marry him. I knew he would be the father of my children and they would be beautiful. I knew I couldn’t fight what appeared to be destiny. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. He was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. When I approached him he smiled at me, and the world changed. From the day we met, we were together. We were married 4 months later. The divorce rate among couples married as teenagers is extremely high. We were young, we didn't have much, and we went through difficult times; yet for over 2 decades we have beat the odds and we have prospered. Is love at first sight possible? Yes, it is; and it can last a lifetime. Time can change who we are and how we look, but it doesn't change our souls. I believe the human soul, like love, is immortal. For my husband and my best friend, as we celebrate 25 years together. I love you Butchy!

While magic is mystical, it is the practicality of magic that makes it useful on a daily basis. A thought, a wish, a chant, or a prayer, can all be magic. The power of the magic is only as powerful as the practitioner. A willful intent can be a force to be reckoned with, especially when it is the will of a witch whose power and energy can be perceived through methods other than spell casting. Some people are magic. Voices of The Dead
The voices of the dead, like whispers in the wind. Their faces flash like photos in the mind, not to be forgotten. Their presence felt like a chill that is hauntingly familiar.
The veil between life and death, a curtain that flutters in a strong breeze and ever so often, something filters through. Be it a thought, a memory, a feeling, or a voice that echoes throughout the collective consciousness of eternity.
