The problem with breeding for profit is that the 'parent' animals of those cute sweet puppies are treated like money making machines and their condition or 'quality' of life doesn't matter just as long as the money keeps rolling in from their hard work. They are out of the sight of the general public, as long as their offspring keep warming hearts and lining pockets, they don't matter.
