IT'S REALLY PRETTY IMPORTANT!
This page is for people who like to dress up. I don’t mean tuxedos and evening gowns. . . I mean “DRESS UP” as in “COSTUMES”.
If you like to wear costumes and like to share pictures in those costumes. . . this page is for you; if not, you probably want to stop reading right about here.
Most of us have dressed up in some kind of costume at some point in our lives. Maybe you dressed as a Cowboy or Nurse in role playing games as a child (or as an adult . . .) Maybe a character in a school play, perhaps theme parties like “Toga” or “Professor & Schoolgirl” etc., and of course there is always “HALLOWEEN”! I have always enjoyed putting on a costume and getting into character, and, being a photographer; I have always loved photographing people in costumes and looking at other people’s photos. So, now I am starting this page. It will, of course, be separate from my personal page.
I will be posting pictures here in both the “View Pics” section and the “Blog” section. As the page grows, (which I am sure it will) there will probably be different categories of “Costume” pictures. Such as:
HALLOWEEN – COSPLAY – RENAISSANCE FAIRS – THEME PARTIES (or simply themes) etc.
I will also list links to other pages of interest to those of us who enjoy “Dressing Up”. AND of course, my first photo album will be pix of ME in various costumes through the years.
There will be a few (very few) rules. (You know a page like this will have to have rules).
Rule #1 - (the big rule) Don’t even think about requesting to be added without contributing at least 1 photo. This is a photo “Sharing” page so, you have to share.
(I may request people from time to time, either because you are a friend I think would be interested, OR, I have visited your page and saw photos of you in a costume. Even so, rule #1 will still be in effect – upon accepting my invitation, you will need to send a photo, either as a message, comment or e-mail.)
Rule#2 - Don’t post anything that will get me kicked off MySpace. If you are unsure whether a photo is OK to post. Send it to me in a message first as opposed to posting it as a comment.
Rule#3 - The photos you send me should be of YOU "OR" a photo that was taken by you. In that case, please make sure you have the other person's permission to post the pic.
DO NOT send some pic you found on Google (chances are I already have that one – hee hee).
The photos should be Full Length (or close to it). . . after all, this is really about showing off the Costume!
If you see a photo of yourself on my page and you did not send it or authorize it and you want it removed. . . write me and I will remove it immediately.
If you are a “Closet Costumer” and want to send me a photo but, don’t want it posted; send it to me and just note that you don’t want it posted. I will not post it (honest!)
Well, That’s IT! I hope you enjoy the page. I am excited about it and expect it to be a lot of fun for all of us!
