"All beings tremble before violence. All fear death, all love life. See yourself in others. Then whom can you hurt? What harm can you do?" - Buddha (563)- (483)
The question is not, "Can they reason?" nor, "Can they talk?" but rather, "Can they suffer?"
"We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy
of life is when men are afraid of the Light." - Plato
Just remember - it is more important to be free of emotional stress than to have an over-abundant knowlege of negative issues. If you cannot, or will not, do anything about it - it serves no purpose to spend time studying about the evils of the world. Don't get caught up in those feelings of victimhood.
Small or even slow progress is still progress. Changing your course by even as little as 4 degrees will take you somewhere wholly different, if followed for a substantial while.

and Hey, don't even try to do 180 degrees.. you'll crash. **Backsliding is to be expected - It is OK** Instead of getting rid of bad habits, pick up new good habits. It's more about replacing than erasing. The more good habits you incorporate consciously into your life the less room there will be for bad ones. It becomes less of a struggle and more of a tangible satisfaction. Start small. Sooner than later you'll forget you even had those bad habits - you'll *desire* to do good for yourself rather than beat yourself up for doing detrimental things.
Most of all have fun. Be happy, don't be or pretend to be a victim. Take control and love yourself. Do what works for you and nothing else.
This space is less about me as a person than it is about the information on the page.
See, I'm not completely against the eating of animals.. although the thought does turn me off. "You enjoy eating dead animals?" hmm.. no, not really. If, in true sacrifice, an animal is honored and celebrated for it's ability to give us life - if it is thanked and goes through little pain - then yes, nomads of the desert, native peoples, or anyone, I will not condemn you (as if it were my place anyway d-: )Moreso I am against *cages*, imprisonment of animals and CFAOs (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations). I am against wasting tons of water to inefficently produce small amounts of beef. I am against clearing forests to produce the 7-11lbs of grain needed to produce one pound of meat. ..the pollution it causes, the diseases that spread. It's ridiculous and completely retarded."Animals need more water than grain crops. According to the USDA, growing crops for farm animals requires nearly half of the U.S. water supply and 80% of its agricultural land. Animals raised for food in the U.S. consume 90% of the soy crop, 80% of the corn crop, and 70% of its grain. In tracking food animal production from the feed through to the dinner table, the inefficiencies of meat, milk and egg production range from a 4:1 energy input to protein output ratio up to 54:1. The result is that producing animal-based food is typically much less efficient than the harvesting of grains, vegetables, legumes, seeds and fruits."

"Music is prophecy: its styles and economic organisation are ahead of the rest of society because it explores, much faster than material reality can, the entire range of possibilities in a given code. It makes audible the new world that will gradually become visible." --Jacques Atalli: Noise (1977)
