"Let Your Voices Be Heard"

About Me

Voices @ The Village is a word centered ministry for performing artists (poets, writers, singer, musicians, etc.) and their supporters. It is our desire to be a home away from home for the churched and unchurched in the Nashville community. The Village Church will serve as a haven for artisitic expression. Artists and their supporters can come together to share an ongoing dialog, perform, create and vibe with one another, while being introduced to the message of Jesus Christ. The Village will provide a platform that helps the community to discover and utilize their artistic gifts in a safe and secure environment that empowers the artist and promotes creativity and love. 2 Timothy 1:6-7 says : 6 Wherefore I put thee in rememberance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, love, and of a sound mind. The Village Church will be the pot in which we stir up our gifts, in love, without fear. Our ultimate goal for the Voices @ The Village ministry is to establish and maintain healthy, loving, productive relationships with others while encouraging and supporting them in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

What is Voices @ the Village?......
Voices @ the Village is...
A set. A lounge experience. A vibefest. A groove theory. A back in the day house party with a blue light bulb. A freestyle, experimental, jazz, hip hop, r&b, neo-soul, off the top of the dome, eraser biting, pen scribbling chicken scratching, spiral notebook filling, journal opening, random slips of paper grabbing beverage napkin jotting oops I spilled my latte bring me a bottled water and let me clear my throat, gotta get this off my chest watch me now, listen, follow me, just let your soul glow, I been going thru some thangs, take me to the water, on my way to a burnin' hell, come to Jesus, heaven bound, WAKE UP! and rub the sleep outta your 3rd eye, stream of consciousness, lay my burdens down, you're safe here, share, show me what you working with type venue...
Where the... unsung hero, militant, diligent, word-smith, fork tongued, that girl can sang, that boy can blow, play dat funky music both white and black black boys alike, inspired, future Tyler Perry Shakespeare Jones IV, of July, fireworks, celebration of struggles, strategies, and spontaneous conjunctions happen.
A place where you can... move something, groove something, soothe something, go ahead and say something. C'mon...
