The Corale Universitaria “Lorenzo Valla” (The L.V. Gospel Choir of Pavia University - Italy) was founded in 1987, taking its name from the Pavia “Lorenzo Valla” College, in which the vocal ensemble was born.By 2000, the choir, under the direction of Francesco Mocchi (a.k.a. Master) , started to sing classical gospel songs, such as “Oh happy day”, “Go down Moses”, “Down by the riverside”…nothing new…during the following years, the ensemble started to look for a new personal sound, creating new arrangements of traditional gospel and spiritual songs, and original ones, written by Master himself.
“GOSPEL FUSION” is the first discographical project, subdivided in three CD, - “Gospel Fusion Vol. I”, “Gospel Fusion Vol. II – Christmas Songs”, “Gospel FUSION Vol. III – Revolution” -, on sale on I-Tunes, under Warner Music Italy Label in Inspirational Genre.The All Star L.V. Dream Band play together with the vocal ensemble, composed of about 35 singers.- LUIGI FIORE : drums

La Corale Universitaria "Lorenzo Valla", L.V. Gospel Choir, nasce nel lontano 1987, prendendo il nome dal collegio universitario Lorenzo Valla di Pavia, nel quale tuttora ha la propria sede...le sue iniziali esperienze si focalizzano particolarmente sul canto classico e popolare, con qualche puntata nella musica popolare e nello spiritual.Dal 2000, con l'arrivo alla direzione di Francesco Mocchi (a.k.a. Master) si è gettata a capofitto nel genere gospel, inizialmente affrontando classici, quali "Oh Happy Day", "Go Down Moses", "Down By The Riverside"...niente di nuovo insomma...con il passare degli anni, l'ensemble ha cominciato a personalizzare il proprio sound, rivisitando brani tradizionali e proponendone di inediti, scritti e/o arrangiati da Master stesso."La Valla" ha all'attivo tre produzioni discografiche, la trilogia "GOSPEL FUSION" - "Gospel Fusion Vol. I", "Gospel Fusion Vol. II - Christmas Songs", "Gospel Fusion Vol. III - Revolution", distribuiti digitalmente dalla Warner Music, con edizioni Warner Chappell. Questi cd sono disponibili su I-Tunes nonchè su tutti gli shop on line, nella categoria "Inspirational" e "Christian Music".Ad oggi, l'ensemble è costituito da circa 35 elementi ed è supportato da una band molto numerosa, che prende il nome di "All Stars L.V. Dream Band", composta da:- LUIGI FIORE: batteria - MARCO MANGELLI: basso elettrico - PINO DI PIETRO: pianoforte e hammond - MARCO NISTA: chitarra elettrica - DARIO TANGHETTI: percussioni - ROBERTO VILLANI: tromba e flicorno - ANDRES VILLANI: sax tenore, sax baritono e flauto traverso - CORRADO SAMBITO: sax soprano, sax contralto, sax tenoreLa band qui sopra è una vera e propria formazione a geometria variabile, nel senso che si muove a seconda delle necessità e dei luoghi in cui il coro va ad esibirsi: è possibile infatti ascoltare la Valla a cappella, come accompagnata da un pianoforte, così dal gruppo al gran completo.Nuove collaborazioni di grandissimo spessore accompagnano la Corale Valla nel suo percorso...Hernan Brando, Claudiad'Ulisse e lei...Angela Baggi...ora cantano insieme alla Corale ed insieme ai ragazzi lodano Dio....
