Once we make it a priority to support Black businesses, when incidents like Hurricane Katrina take place, Black millionaires can go in and rebuild our own community. We have to stop waiting for someone else to do it! We can and we will end poverty and other issues that plague our community. There are steps to make that happen. #1) Stop putting down Brothers & Sisters who've made it. #2) Turn that television off...Entertainment has to stop being our major focus #3) get involved in your community organizations like Black Dems, NAACP, Black United Front, Shape Community Center, Acres Homes Chamber of Commerce, etc. Please stop sitting on the sidelines complaining. #4) Read, Read, Read #5) Start your own business. Stop working for money and learn how to make money work for you #6) Find out what your church is doing to help spread the gospel and make a commitment to that cause #7) To make this all work, SUPPORT POSITIVE BLACK BUSINESSES.
