Whispers of Sorrow (WoS) started of as a one-man project by Satîr. However, at this time Satîr was still playing in the Flemish trash/black metal band formerly know as "Bloodlust", where Plague was the bands vocalist. In a short period of time the two bandmembers became very close friends and left "Bloodlust". Their common interest in good music and lyrics and the fact that they felt they were thinking along the same track, made it inevitable that Satîrs one-man project became a duo.
One certain night Satîr, staring at the ceiling and slipping slowly into madness, was invited by a friend to come to a gig of Opus Nocturnales. Yet another former band Satîr had played in. At that gig he met Grimnir. Grimnir was the one who had replaced him in the Opus ranks, but nevertheless they seemed to really hit it off! Due to circumstances Grimnir was cast out of Opus Nocturnales. Their loss would become Whispers' gain, because Satîr saw the potential of this young talent and decided to take him under the wings of the WoS clan. Now Whispers of Sorrow was only one member short to form a complete band and to become a proud member of the Antwerp Metal Crew.
Luckily Plague knew somebody, an old but long-time friend of his, who was looking for a new challenge. So Scarecrow joined the clan. At last the band was complete and after many long nights in which they argued relentlessly the band chose Whispers of Sorrow as their name and the moon as their logo. From this point on everything went quite fast. The band started to write new songs and lyrics and had weekly rehearsals. Soon they sat down to record their first demo CD "Into the Abyss of Despair", which turned out to be a full length demo. Today the band is ready to start with live performances, they want to share their music with the rest of the world.
