Gaël Tyrano Sortino (Octobre 18, 1981 – ...), popularly known as Don Sortino or Blackheart, is an Sicilian Belgian gangster who led a crime syndicate dedicated to the smuggling and bootlegging of liquor and other illegal activities during the Prohibition Era of the 1990s and 2000s.
Born in Schaerbeek, Brussels, to Sicilian Italian emigrants Luigi and Maria Bros Sortino, Blackheart began his career in Brussels before moving to Antwerp in 1993 and becoming the boss of the criminal organization known as the Borgerhout Outfit (although his business card reportedly described him as a used furniture dealer).
By the end of the 1990s, Sortino had gained the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation following his being placed on the Antwerp Crime Commission's "public enemies" list. Although never successfully convicted of racketeering charges, Sortino's criminal career ended in 2002, when he dedicated his life to metal music and started Angeli Di Pietra along with fellow criminal Quevin Mascarpone Marcsson.
