Miss D Arcy

I am a hard working music loving London loving urban inuit. I was born in Singapore and then with sling in hand grew up in London. Perpetuating orientalist queries of ‘otherness I admit my dad is a leprechaun and my mother a malaysian pixie. I have a small growing design company called Perfect-Edge Ltd. My days made up with art direction for film tv and commercials pop promos, stills photography & interior design. My other days made up of fathoming accounts and coaxing my hippy heart into action. The best job ive had so far has been art directing a film starring Ray Winstone. This was called 'Everything' and was nominated for a bafta last year. The worst job was hatching 10 pints of maggots in the catacombs behind my office for a zom-rom-com called 'Dead Clean’. The job ive learned most from has been to renovate a 5 storey listed building in Chancery Lane, and the most rewarding my interior design commitment to Mencap. Although love pain and the bits in between are raw to a sensitive disposition, the senseless acts of beauty I witness often daily reinstate a vigorous application to loving life, this and a conviction to dancing all night, is all taking years off my life.
