As one half of FC/Kahuna, Jon has been one of the true pioneers of electronic dance music in the UK and has an impressive body of work behind him. The critically acclaimed FC/Kahuna album, 'Machine Says Yes', went on to sell over 50,000 copies and includes such landmark tracks as 'Hayling', 'Glitterball' and the title track itself. Music from the LP has appeared in the feature films 'Layer Cake', 'Domino', 'Confidence' and 'Riding Giants' plus various TV shows, "Six Feet Under', 'C.S.I.' and 'Nip/Tuck' to name a few. The album's success led to live shows at some of the world's best festivals such as Coachella, Roskilde, Benicassim, T in the park and the Reading/Leeds weekenders followed by a sold out u.k. tour with Royksopp.
As a DJ Jon has helped to create three of the most influential clubs of the last 10 years. The legendary Big Kahuna Burger featured many of today's biggest names in music including The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim and David Holmes. Headstart at Turnmills, a truly groundbreaking club experience that championed forward thinking electronic music - Dave Clarke, Andrew Weatherall, Josh Wink and Justin Robertson each joined Jon as monthly residents - Headstart provided the blueprint for many of the tech-edged nights out there. Up next 21st Century Bodyrockers in collaboration with Damian Lazarus and the City Rockers label, and once again Jon was at the forefront of pushing new music - Soulwax, James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, Erol Alkan and Tiga all appeared before becoming the massive acts they are today. As a consequence of all that Jon has managed to DJ at some of the worlds finest clubs and festivals pushing the more leftfield sounds of electro, techno and house music - from the Loft Club in Barcelona to Bugged Out, Glastonbury festival to manumission and Pacha Ibiza he's done the lot! Jon also travelled as support DJ to The Charlatans and Zero 7 on various u.k. and u.s. tours.Since leaving FC/Kahuna last year Jon has been getting busy in the studio.... he's been remixing and producing everyone from Armand Van Helden to Mika, Ali Love to the Rumble Strips, and making tracks with good friends like Cagedbaby and George Pringle. Drawing on all these different elements and tapping into what he’s learned over the years, he has been working on his as yet un-named new album project with partner in crime Si Duffy, combining the thrills and spills of his DJ sets with his 80's upbringing of electronic synth-pop. watch this (my)space..........
