About Me

About The Founders
Hey there. Thanks for checking us out. My name is Chris Case and I am a co-founder of Gimundo. Keith Cohn is our CEO and founding partner.
About a year ago, a bunch of us were at a dinner party when the talk turned to current events. Just about everyone complained about the news. The comments were pretty much the same. “I can’t even watch the news anymore.” “They’re just trying to scare us to get ratings.” “Why can’t they talk more about the good stuff?” Everyone agreed that it’s unbalanced toward the gruesome and sensationalistic and focuses almost exclusively on the most salacious, violent, and awful aspects of human behavior.
Sure, the world is a tough place. But is it as bad as we hear from our media? If I watch the news before bed, I find it harder to fall asleep. Do I have early Alzheimer’s? Are those African killer bees living in that nest in my tree? Is there a meteor headed for Earth? Why is that guy with the rifle burning our flag and dancing? Is my kid’s car seat safe? Do I have early Alzheimer’s?
Now, I’m not saying we started Gimundo because we had some kind of epiphany. But we have discovered that you get to a certain point in life, you get a little older, you have a few kids, and you start to question things a little more. If you’re paying attention at all you have be a little concerned about the culture. If the kids are in the room when the news is on, you want to hit the mute button so bad you dive on the remote like it’s a live grenade.
About a year ago, we both found ourselves at a crossroads where although we’ve had some success, we were trying to figure out what to do next.
We talked about the fact that there are a lot of good things happening in the world and a lot to be thankful for. We see it in our kids. We see in our friends and families. We strongly believe that people want to be inspired. So we decided to create a newsletter where we celebrate positive events and human achievement.
We’re not saying that we’re replacing the news. Nobody is that naïve. We’re giving you a little rest from all of the negativity that’s pumped into our homes every day. Just working on this project for the last few months has started to change us for the better. It really is a good country. And there are a ton of great people out there committing selfless acts every day. If we can make a small change in your attitude or just make you smile, we've done our jobs. If you haven’t already, please sign up for our daily e-newsletter. We hope you'll enjoy it.
Thanks again for stopping by, and welcome to our community.
Sincerely,
Keith and Chris Gimundo Founders
