When we open awareness to the tasks in our lives they become lighter. When we are able to be in the moment, we no longer feel compelled to watch the clock. Whatever your work might be, bring all of yourself to it. When you are fully present, you may find that your labor is no longer a burden. Wood is chopped. Water is carried. Life happens.

Paganism
I began to study witchcraft in 1982. It wasn't a religious connection for me, it was a form of folk magick.
I was raised Catholic. Though I tried, I didn't find the connection I was looking for with it. After searching on my own, for a few years, I was Buddhist and it fulfilled my spiritual needs, until I connected with Wicca. When I found Wicca, I felt like I had come home.
In 1996 I officially came out of the "broom-closet". I am an ordained Wiccan priestess, a National Second Officer of Covenant of the Goddess, and the First Officer of Orange County Local Council of CoG.
CoG.org
Currently with CoG, I am planning Merry Meet 2008 which will be hosted by both Orange County and Touchstone Local Councils. MM08 will be held in Southern California! Check out the flyer and link to the website below.
Merry Meet is the annual National Business Meeting of the Covenant of the Goddess (CoG): a four day Conference and Pagan Festival running from a Thursday to Sunday in August. The specific week in August varies each year, depending on the host's options.
The meeting, also known as Grand Council, is where solitary members and representatives of the member covens come together to discuss the official business of the Covenant. During the meeting relevant issues that affect the organization and the Community are debated within a consensus format.
Merry Meet, the festival, is filled with workshops, lectures, and entertainment. We also have vendors selling a wide variety of items of interest: books, clothing, art, jewelry and such.
Usually on Saturday there is a big dance/masquerade ball for everyone to get together and party. It's a great way for many of us to cut loose after Grand Council.
Both events are tied together with three ritual. An opening ritual, usually held on Thursday. A main ritual held either on Friday or Saturday. And a closing ritual held on Sunday after all business has been concluded with Grand Council.
Merry Meet is hosted each year by one of the Local Councils. With CoG members coming from all over the United States, the hosting Local Council is able to offer a unique event to their local Community. Orange County and Touchstone are very proud to be offering this event to the Covenant and our local pagan communities.
I am also a member and the web mistress for Circle of the Craft, a monthly community circle held in Irvine, CA.
I am a member of the Fellowship of Isis and am currently in the dedicant program for Ãr nDraÃocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship (ADF).
Allfather
Odin has a strong influence on my life. I dedicated to the Allfather in 2004. I am studying Norse mythology, the Eddas (poetic and prose), and the elder Futhark runes.

Music
Much of my life has been involved in the music industry in one form or another. I've been a roadie, both a drum and guitar tech, managed bands and musicians, a staff writer for a music magazine for many years, a photographer for bands, and a Goth radio dj.
I perform music too. I play drums; mostly djembe, doumbek, and congas, but I also have a sweet 5 piece kit. I recently purchased a double goat-skin head bodhrán.
I also play piano and banjo and I'm pretty rockin' on the shaker egg, if I do say so myself! :P
I enjoy a vast array of musical styles, in fact it would be easier to tell you what I don't like rather than what I do.
Photography
I'm a photographer by trade. I started out with shooting live music performances and eventually moved into portrait work. But my deepest passion is black and white photography of architecture.
Here are some examples of my work over the years: MistressPrime Creations Photography
Geekdom
Have you embraced your inner geek today?
I freely admit I'm a geek, but not one of those old fashioned bites-the-heads-off-chickens kind.
I started out young in sci-fi geekdom watching the original Star Trek series on reruns, 'cause I'm not old enough to have seen the original run. I remember my father dragging me (yes dragging me) to see Star Wars. In truth, I didn't want to see it because the commercials looked dumb, but once I saw it I was totally hooked!
Firefly, in my opinion, was a fantastic series that should have been give a greater chance than Fox gave it. Clearly someone was unhappy with Joss, which is terribly unfortunate because I think it was one of the most well written series in a long time. I loved the characters and was hoping to explore more about them as the series moved forward. Shame on you Fox!
Harry Potter in itself is not a part of geekdom unless you are over the age of 16, dress in House colors or a Hogwarts school uniforms to meet other adults who are doing the very same thing. I love it! I can't help myself, I totally love hanging out with the Potter crew.
Role playing games: Truth is, I never really got to play D&D, still haven't. I'm ok with that. But I have played several others like Star Wars and 7th Seas and I've LARPed. What's a LARP you ask??? Well it kinda fits in with what I was saying about the Harry Potter stuff... a group of geeks getting together in the costume of the character they've created and acting out (instead of rolling the dice and talking out their actions), in character, the actions they would take in a given situation. Live Action Role Playing = LARP. It's really geeky.
Right now, the only RPG I'm currently involved in is a 1920's era version of "Call of Cthulhu".
Sometimes I'll cross my geek streams. Case in point: I attended a pirate party in my pirate garb and thought it would be funny to wear a "dark mark" temp tattoo on the inside of my left arm. A little Harry Potter meets Pirates of the Caribbean. I thought it would seem natural for Lord Voldemort followers to mingle with savage pirates.
Pirates are a part of history I have been fascinated with since I was a child. I'm willing to blame Disney for this one. I grew up just down the road from Disneyland, so every Spring, Summer and Winter break we went to Disneyland. Back then it was something like $12 for an all day pass, not the highway robbery of $80 it is now!
Anyway, one of our all time favorite rides was the Pirates of the Caribbean... it's the ride that all the movies are based on. The ride itself takes you back in time to tell the story of pirates in the Caribbean. I LOVED this ride... till they added a bunch of politically correct scenes. C'mon!! Pirates politically correct?!?! Since the movie they've removed the hoakey PC crap, now I feel free to love it again.
I attend Pirate and Renaissance faires as often as possible. And yes, I go in garb, because it's just not as fun in street clothes.
Anime. This is actually an old love that has returned with a vengance and stolen my heart away. As a youngin' I loved watching Speed Racer, Voltron, and Battle of the Planets. As a teen I loved Transformers (check my name again...) and Robotech (aka Macross). As an adult I'm a bit behind on a few things but I'm making a serious effort to catch up.
Helping Others
A lot of what I do is on a volunteer basis, CoG being a primary example of that.
For the last two years I've organized both my Pagan and Witches Meetups to form a team each year to participate in the OC AIDS Walk . Each year we compete with the charity outreach group of the Orange County Local Council of CoG, Brigid's Heart. It's a fun motivating way to see who can raise more funds for this event. This year is no different. We are again participating in the OC AIDS Walk. Please visit the site, look up our team "OC Pagan & Witches Meetup" and donate funds for the cause! OC AIDS Walk
