Band Members: BRADY MILLARD-KISH: BASS
A passion for music took this Michigan-born Bassist, Brady Millard-Kish south to New Orleans where he worked as a full-time musician. He had some incredible experiences performing and recording with members of Soul Asylum, G. Love and Special Sauce, Blind Melon, and Galactic among others, making several recordings at Daniel Lanois’ famed Kingsway Studio. Upon moving to Seattle, Brady hooked up with several great Northwest musicians and continues to make music with a variety of groups. He is currently a proud member of the Jill Cohn Band and blues/soul review The Mighty Titans of Tone.
MARK DIFLORIO: DRUMS
Philadelphia born, Mark Diflorio cut his teeth on the New Orleans jazz scene, there in the Big Easy he met and performed with many top musicians, including, life long friend and bassist, Brady Kish. When Hurricane Katrina flooded this world-class drummer out of his town, Mark began to re-build his life here on the West Coast with the help of the Portland Jazz Community. Having drummed for many bands, including Quintology, Devin Phillps and the New Orleans Straight ahead, Mark has traveled to many places around the globe in part by the Lincoln Center Jazz fund.
RON LEONARDI: KEYBOARDS
An alumnus of Rutgers University, Berklee College of Music, and Cornish College of the Arts, Ron Leonardi is a dynamic and skilled performer. Often seen with the Jill Cohn band, behind a tower of keyboards, Leonardi’s list of past bands is impressive that includes both coasts with noted bands from the East Coast pop-rock scene, includeing: Doctor Z, Polyguana, Hot Fudge Sunday, and Throttle (managed by respected Philadelphia promoter Billy Stott). In addition to the multitude of textures Ron brings to the Jill Cohn band, he is currently the keyboardist for Sonic Funk Orchestra, and also plays guitar with White Trash Whiplash.
MICHAEL BARSIMANTO
Los Angeles based, Drummer Michael Barsimanto has recorded numerous times with Cohn, and in addition to being the driving force in her California appearances, you can hear his work on Cohn’s "every street inside of you". A veteran of the road, Michael has played with such icons as IVAN NEVILLE, JEAN LUC PONTY, MARK ISHAM, and he’s currently the principal drummer in THE IMPERIAL CROWNS.
