About Me

Hailing from Ann Arbor Michigan the indie/folk pop group The New Green consists of Dan Piccolo, Kate and Samantha Cooper, Brian Goodwin as well as founder and song writer Steven Clausnitzer. Their melodic compositions, compelling lyrics and dense arrangements have drawn comparisons to Wilco and Belle & Sebastian. Their debut Album “Easily Made, Easily Broken”, Recorded with Jim Roll at Backseat Studios in Ann Arbor, takes the listener on a sonic journey through the often discouraging but always hopeful evolution of young love. This is an ambitious album full of strings, horns and percussive nuances. For a quick insight into its range, listen to “Mature Alcoholic” and “Bone White, Skin Tight”.
