Company Profile In the beginning……Back in 2004 two Selby based DJ’s embarked upon something that had never been attempted before. Hold a TECHNO event in Selby! Being a small boring town with very little going on most people thought they were mad….They were mad, but they knew there was a demand for a quality underground dance event. Week in week out the local club played the same tired selection of chart and commercial dance music to the same old faces, Swiv & Tony knew there were real clubbers in Selby, but they just weren’t staying there, there was no reason to!Something had to change, and it did. After a brief meeting with the club owner, Swiv & Tony Sowerby had secured a date for a “Pure Techno Special Event”.Pure Techno, now one of the UK’s biggest and well-known monthly techno events had enjoyed six successive months of killer parties, playing host to some of the UK’s biggest techno talent. At the time Swiv, one of their resident djs was working for Tune Inn Records, the UK’s best independent record shop, an international specialist in trance and techno. Things were really starting to take shape as Swiv was making his breakthrough into the international club scene having made a handful of appearances in Poland and Slovakia. The Pure Techno Special went with a bang! Featuring Mark Turner & Ignition Technician on four decks and two mixers. Two giants of the Techno scene, the PLAYER DJ’s! Residents at the Orbit in Leeds, one of the most influential club nights in the history of the UK techno scene….Starting way back in 1991, well before the likes of CREAM or THE MINISTRY OF SOUND. The orbit was the Mecca for UK ravers. Rumor has it even Sven Vath used to play for free as it was, and always will be THE place to enjoy techno. On that September night in Selby…..Tony, Swiv & the Player Dj’s pulled in a packed crowed that simply blew the roof off and opened the door to a new era…….. After the HUGE success of yet another massive Pure Techno event, R3ToX was born……Only this was the start of something much more than just a techno party……This was the answer to the prayers of Selby’s clubbers. Club 7 would have all three rooms crammed with Dj’s and punters, going mental to a fantastic selection of QUALITY dance music from a selection of amazing local dj’s. More parties followed and the R3ToX brand was beginning to make its mark, forging relationships and making friends the R3ToX crew was taking shape.Throughout 2005 the R3ToX Dj’s organized parties, club events and raves traveling the length and breadth of the British Isles belting out their sound. Weather it’s X-games festivals on the south coast or 3 day long weekends up in the Scottish mountains, illegal gatherings on the national parkland, major club gigs in Edinburgh, Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds, Manchester, Scarborough,Wakefield, York…the list goes on, but one thing is for sure, they would be rocking it! With Phil Walls and G.Patto finally getting a taste of the foreign club scene, making their Polish, Slovenian & Slovakian debuts it was time to develop R3ToX into a world player. Going Global..!Developing R3ToX into a professional business entity was the next stage. Not content with simply Djing and organizing parties. The start of 2006 saw the growth of the R3ToX Empire. The website began to evolve into its own online music store boasting a fantastic selection of dance music vinyl with MP3 download facilities expected to be ready by the end of the year.Increasing their staffing levels taking onboard SYBERNATOR & DJ MERCENARY the gaming “guru” branching out into new areas of business such as console games and hardware, both retro and next generation. R3ToX have now gained a foot hold in the ever expanding on-line gaming market having spent the last year or so building its own on-line gaming clan “The R3ToX Mafia” and running its own gaming & music forum. They have also become a direct importer & retailer of next generation gaming equipment through ebay and are now an affiliate retailer for one of the worlds biggest gaming retailers…PLAY ASIAThe newly developed “R3ToX Travel” section is also well on its way to the execution of its first project….. Phew…..It’s been a busy year!!!!March 17th 2007 will be the first installment of the international enterprise. R3ToX will orchestrate a “Pure Techno Special Event” in Slovenia assisted by the Final Flash Association. This event will be the springboard to future events organized throughout Europe and further a field…..Love Parade?? Watch this space!!…… R3ToX are also the exclusive event operators for the international DJ contest SYLD, also in partnership with the Slovenian based FFA.After spending the last ten months promoting and organizing the project, it is now entering the final stages…..The competition!! Inundated with entries from all over the UK across all genres of dance music, the competition will be fierce but only a choice few will be embraced by the R3ToX Empire and given the chance to forge a career in the dance music industry.

Band Members:Since his first visit to “the Orbit” back in 1998 Swiv has been hooked on TECHNO. Week in week out he made the journey to Leeds to enjoy the finest techno the world had to offer. A year later he decided to become a part of the movement.Just like everyone else, he got his own equipment and began to experiment…Slowly but surly he taught himself how to beat mix, then how to EQ, then how to make tracks fit together….. In 2000 he was offered a chance to DJ for a bar in his hometown of Selby after being spotted at a local DJ contest. A challenge he grabbed with both hands, giving him a taste of the real thing. It wasn’t long before he made the transition into club Djing through a handful of student run techno events, and then it kicked off BIG TIME. As a regular customer of Tune Inn Records he decided to invite their crew to one of his legendary house parties following their visit to the Miami WMC in 2002 .Humbled by their appearance he put his skills to work….Amazed by his technique and lightning quick mixing he was asked to produce their next DJ mix CD….A CD that was to launch SWIV into the international club scene. Not only did he receive numerous bookings from all over the UK, he attracted the attention of promoters in Poland and Slovakia.Through hard work and dedication he used these opportunities to forge strong relationships and network connections to establish his place in the techno scene. In 2003 Swiv began working for Tune Inn Records….Then in 2004 they were the winner of Best independent Record Shop by Muzik magazine.Swiv was appointed as resident DJ and co-promoter of Pure Techno in Hull at club Euphoria owned by Ministry Of Sound. Pure Techno is now one of the biggest and most respected Techno events in the UK! Playing host to a wide selection of the world’s biggest names in techno. DJing alongside this caliber of DJ has been an educational experience, but his 3 deck sets of hard/funky/tuff/jackin’ madness has earned him the respect of his peers. Not only was he spinnin’ techno, he could often be found banging out progressive & funky house, club trance, breaks and even oldskool sets in back rooms, house parties, illegal raves and anywhere that would let him loose! Not content with running Pure Techno Swiv kicked off his own breed of club night…R3ToX…A wicked blend of the best in underground dance music…One event followed another allowing R3ToX vibe to grow. Over the last eight years Swiv has acquired over 10,000 vinyl records spanning all genres of dance music which, in 2006 saw the birth of his very on-line store. www.r3tox.co.uk By the end of 2007 expect to see Swiv playing across all continents giving back the love to all that have supported him. Tony Sowerby Since a very young age Tony has always had a passion for music, especially dance music! Like most people of his age, he has enjoyed over a decade at the cutting edge of this growing phenomenon. Experiencing the finest dance music across the whole spectrum at many of the UK’s top venues, be it deep progressive house, dark and dirty techno or just good old funk. Enjoying performances from the likes of Sven Vath, CJ Bol- land, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Sasha and many more has shaped Tony Sowerby into the DJ he is today. Like most other DJ’s Tony just began from square one with a second-hand pair of cheap decks and hours and hours of practice, spinning tunes at house parties and jamming with his friends.…..It didn’t take long before Tony wanted to do more. He was hungry….Hungry for a taste of something special. He wanted to become part of a movement that has shaped the way we live our lives and how we love each other. Becom- ing a DJ has been his way of paying back the love he experienced for so many years. His eclectic tastes and love for a sweaty dance floor makes Tony the people’s choice. His energy and vibe resonates through every set he plays leaving everyone wanting more. Over the past five years Tony has honed his skills and devel- oped his style making him a unique talent that never fails to impress. Working at the heart of R3ToX play- ing countless gigs up and down the UK, working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry such as Ade Fenton, Mark Turner and Ignition Technician has given him a wealth of experience. If he’s spinning jacking Techno on the main floor or taking you on a funky tripped out journey through back room bar groves, one thing is for sure…..He will be greeted by a crowd of smiling faces. 2007 is set to be a big year for Tony as he will make his international debut, playing for Pure Techno in Slovenia Throughout 2005 the R3ToX DJ organised parties, club events and raves travelling the length and breadth of the British Isles belting out their sound. Weather it’s X-games festivals on the south coast or 3 day long weekends up in the Scottish mountains, illegal gatherings on the national parkland, major club gigs in Edinburgh, Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds, Manchester, Scarborough,Wakefield, York…the list goes onA rising DJ and producer on the global techno scene, Phil Walls looks set to break into the limelight any time soon. Having now sixteen releases under his belt on labels such as Yin Yang, Pirate Audio and Primate. One of the biggest and most respected techno labels in the world. Phil is taking his "seriously funky techno" to the next level, the international level. It all started way back when at the age of just seven when he received his first set of turntables as a gift for Christmas. A kid’s toy set with two decks and two channel faders, oh and not forgetting the four flashing lights! This gave Phil his first experience of vinyl records which back then, set the ball rolling. From then on his love for music and DJing grew, and by the time he was thirteen had found the music that really moved him. TECHNO!!This was all thanks to the musical influences that had come from his older brothers who would often bring back countless mix tapes from the world famous techno club in Morley called the Orbit (R.I.P.) where regular the DJ's included the likes of Joey Beltram, Surgeon, Ben Sims and Adam Beyer and Sven Vath. The first techno vinyl he got his hands on couldn't have come from a better place. The world famous Tune Inn Records had just moved into their new premises in the near-by town of Selby. Having just invested in some new turntables (still no Technics) it was time to get a proper record collection. After a couple of years buying masses of techno, Phil landed a job at Tune Inn working alongside the owner of the business and now long time best mate Pete Gawtry aka Pedro Delgardo. After leaving school Phil went on to study music production at Leeds College of music. This really got his creative juices flowing as never before had he had the chance to create the music that had been buzzing around in his head for so many years. Quickly setting himself up with his mini studio, comprising of simply a PC and a pair of monitors, it wasn’t long before he started producing his own tracks. After six months of hard work and dedication he made his vinyl debut with a remix for Tec records of London. A tough, driving, peak time belter of a track featuring a sample taken from a classic 90's house anthem.Shortly after that Phil delivered two phenomenal remixes for Pedro Delgardo's awesome new Yin Yang Recordings, quickly followed up by his first full release, Yin Yang number 7 the "Sumin Fresh EP".The tough n funky 3 tracker received huge support from some of the biggest DJ's in techno. Global superstars such as Carl Cox, Valentino Kanzyani, DJ Misjah, Stanny Frannsen & Mistress Barbera were belting out the sound of Phil Walls! From then on Phil has continued to work tirelessly on exciting new music, both on his own and alongside Pedro Delgardo and Ignition Technician. Earning him further releases on Cobra, Prime Evil, Player Records.DiscographyLectrolux - Fearless (Phil Walls Remix) - Tec Records Pedro Delgardo - La Fwent (Phil Walls Remix) - Yin Yang Records Pedro Delgardo - The Funk (Phil Walls Remix) - Yin Yang Records Phil Walls - Sumin Fresh EP - Yin Yang Records Forward Bias - You Think Your So Clever (Phil Walls Remix) - White Label DJ Preach & Marco G - Shizzle (PDP Effect Remix) - Yin Yang Records Oliver Giacomotto & Alec Marqx - Technorumba (PDP Effect Remix) - Yin Yang Records Ignition Technician vs Phil Walls - Pirate Audio 4 Ignition Technician vs Phil Walls - Pirate Audio 5 Ignition Technician vs Phil Walls - Electro Rock EP - Primate Records Player 3 Remixes (Phil Walls Remix) - Player Records Stephane Signore - Friday Girl (Pedro Delgardo vs Phil Walls Remix) - Yin Yang Records Axel Karakasis - Beat The Clock (Pedro Delgardo vs Phil Walls Remix) - Yin Yang Records Pedro Delgardo vs Phil Walls - Acid Future - Yin Yang Records Ignition Technician vs Phil Walls - Spanish Inquisition EP - Prime Evil Records Phil Walls - Player 24 Upcoming releases Pedro Delgardo vs Phil Walls - Untitled EP - Cobra Records Phil Walls -THE INSPECTORS InspectorChris has been writing music for 15 producing and singing in bands, playing guitar, bass and drums. Synthesis and sampling are his main love with sharpened skills in DJing and studio work too. During the day finds him working studio with students teaching them the basic skills and advanced techniques in production. As part of The Inspectors or as a solo act he has been playing live techno for 4 years and DJing for 12 years. The acts has friends from Cornwall to Wales to Manchester to Scotland, and NEVER fails to make people dance. Other top notch people i like to work with: Mike Rochester - AKA MIc-Rotch, getting together for the breaks and the bouncing! Mike has the unswerving ability to lose things (Including his mind on occasion) and is a solid part of the live breaks set we like to put together - great timing, great sounds.Andy Wilton - A fast rising star in the local techno scene with a great ear for pounding beats and the nerve and drive to make it massive. Andy is a new addition and one which i am 100% sure will have what it takes to rock the show with his brand of swinging and slamming percussive techno madness. Why not check out some of my Loops for sale at http://www.audiobase.com, perfect for music production of all varieties and of the highest quality.Playing a brand of tough breakbeat techno, electro and hard techno, I play party music and music for the spirit and the soul, all my own composition, nothing ripped from anyone else (apart from the odd guitar loop - i've only got 2hands FFS!) Book and you WONT be disappointed. Plus - I am house trained and come cheap!
