violinist/fiddle player, singer, songwriter,
session and live musicianBronwyn grew up in the hills of upstate New York where, as a young girl, she learned to play the violin. While listening to the bluegrass, folk and jazz that her parents played, she soon started to play fiddle style, as well as classical music. In high-school she started to pick out a few chords on the guitar and write her own songs.Her musical exposure was deepened at Bennington College, where she studied music composition and performance. During this period, she also played with local bluegrass and celtic bands. During a stint abroad in London, she played on recordings for various artists. She also continued to work on her own song-writing and vocal skills.In her final year of college she came to Nashville for a few months. During her time there, she played fiddle with singer-songwriter Becky Chord. Following stints in Philadelphia and New York City, she decided to move back to Nashville in 2005. There she met Martin Motola, who produced her first full-length CD of original songs. The CD features a number of musicians from the Nashville music scene.Bronwyn has played in Nashville venues such as the Family Wash, the Frothy Monkey, Cafe Coco and Edgehill Studios. In addition, she has played violin with singer-songwriter Edie and the band the Big Happy. Currently, Bronwyn is working on new songs and honing her live performance.
